Looking for work but feel you may need more training? Or are you an employer who wants to hire someone but have more patience than money? The Kootenay Wage Subsidy (KWS) program rewards employers for hiring and training individuals who they determine will work into long-term employees, while job seekers get the training they need making this program a win-win opportunity.
Kootenay Wage Subsidy in Action!
The Kootenay Association for Science & Technology [KAST] was able to implement the Kootenay Wage Subsidy Program with the hiring of Michelle in a full time position.
“The most rewarding aspect of the Kootenay Wage Subsidy Program for me was not only the opportunity to gain full time employment in the region but to be working in an organization where I’m receiving valuable training in areas that are transferable and exciting, “ says Michelle d’Entremont.
“KWS support has helped KAST advance technology business interest in the Kootenay’s and the Skills Centre is always a pleasure to work with.” Kelvin Saldern, Executive Director of the Kootenay Association for Science & Technology [KAST].
